Established in 1946 in Japan, Nikuni began selling regenerative turbine pumps for household wells. In the time since, Nikuni has developed pumps which have been widely used for various industrial applications. In addition to pumps, Nikuni has also developed pump-related systems, such as coolant filtration systems.

In 2014, to better serve customers in North and South America, Nikuni America, Inc. was established.
